Baseball Preview: New Providence Pioneers vs. Johnson Crusaders

On Monday, New Providence didn't have quite enough to beat Dayton and fell 2-1. That's two games in a row now that New Providence has lost by just one run.

New Providence got a good showing from Vince Graziano, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

New Providence's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-13. As for Johnson, their win bumped their record up to 6-14.

New Providence skirted past Johnson 3-2 when the teams last played back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for New Providence since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
