The Tyler Legacy Raiders will venture away from home to face off against the Royse City Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Tyler Legacy has given up an average of 47.3 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Tyler Legacy is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against North Forney on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Raiders had to suffer through a 71-19 loss at the hands of the Falcons. The Raiders haven't had much luck with the Falcons recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Despite their defeat, Tyler Legacy saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Cason Gray, who threw for 183 yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 34 yards and one TD, was perhaps the best of all. Bam White helped out on the ground, rushing for 80 yards.
Meanwhile, Royse City lost to Forney on the road by a 40-26 margin on Friday. The matchup marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring game so far this season.
Tyler Legacy will have to contain Jamion Richardson as he made an impact in Royse City's last game. He rushed for 123 yards and a pair of scores on only 12 carries, and also threw for 193 yards and one TD. Richardson really tore up the turf during one magnificent 75-yard run.
Even if they lost, Royse City's defensive line still kept up the pressure with six sacks. In that department, Herschel Pratt was the leader with three. Royse City got some further help from Teagon Woods: he made 20 total tackles.
The loss was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 4-2. As for Tyler Legacy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Tyler Legacy has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 186.2 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Royse City struggles in that department as they've been averaging 191.8 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Tyler Legacy beat Royse City 38-31 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Raiders since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
