Basketball Recap: Incarnate Word Academy Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Incarnate Word Academy and Brazos Christian squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Incarnate Word Academy had to settle for second. They fell to the Brazos Christian Eagles 54-49.

Abbey Sachanowicz and Camryn Brown certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Sachanowicz went 7-for-16 en route to 20 points and seven assists, while Brown went 7-for-14 to rack up 16 points. What's more, Sachanowicz also posted a 50% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's achieved since back in November of 2024.

Incarnate Word Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 15-18. As for Brazos Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 23-10.

As of now, neither Incarnate Word Academy nor Brazos Christian have any future games scheduled.
