Basketball Game Preview: Grand Valley Mustangs vs. Bristol Panthers

Grand Valley is 0-7 against Bristol since February of 2015 but things could change on Tuesday. The Grand Valley Mustangs will venture away from home to take on the Bristol Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Grand Valley will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line.

Grand Valley will bounce into Tuesday's match after beating Edgewood, who they had gone 0-6 against in their six prior meetings. Grand Valley snuck past Edgewood with a 51-47 victory on Friday. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 215th, while the Warriors are ranked 633rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Bristol opened the new year with a less-than-successful 65-55 loss to LaBrae. The contest marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Grand Valley's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-0. As for Bristol, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.

Grand Valley ended up a good deal behind Bristol in their previous meeting back in January of 2019, losing 70-51. Can Grand Valley avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
