Soccer Recap: Mira Monte Find Success

Mira Monte's tournament run continued when they took on Arvin on Friday. The Mira Monte Lions skirted past the Arvin Bears 2-1. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 20th, while the Bears are ranked 383rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory made it two in a row for Mira Monte and bumps their season record up to 7-1-1. As for Arvin, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mira Monte will look to take advantage of their home pitch for the first time this season as they take on Ridgeview at 6:00 p.m. on December 20th. As for Arvin, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on North at 6:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025.
