Basketball Recap: North Park Comes Up Short

North Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 19th straight defeat. They were dealt a 63-17 loss at the hands of the Plateau Valley Cowboys. The Wildcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-12.

Despite the loss, North Park still got an impressive performance from Mykenzi Ramsey, who posted four points in addition to six boards and five blocks. The dominant performance gave Ramsey a new career-high in blocks.

Plateau Valley found their leader in sophomore Macy Bevan, who went 9-for-14 to rack up 20 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Bevan has been hot, having posted eight or more boards the last six times she's played. Another player making a difference was Presley Hawkins, who shot 55% from the field on her way to 15 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals.

North Park's defeat dropped their record down to 2-20. As for Plateau Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

As of now, neither North Park nor Plateau Valley have any future games scheduled.
