Basketball Recap: Faith Baptist vs. Rochester Hills Christian
Faith Baptist put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 40-27 win over Rochester Hills Christian. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Faith Baptist has scored all season.
Amy Ahrens was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. Ahrens is crushing the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Morgan Burton, who scored four points along with five steals.
Faith Baptist's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-0. As for Rochester Hills Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Faith Baptist will challenge the at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Rochester Hills Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on the at 5:00 p.m. on February 12th.
