Basketball Recap: Glen Iris Baptist Drops Season-High Score on Marshall Christian Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Glen Iris Baptist). They took their contest on Monday with ease, bagging a 63-16 win over the Marshall Christian Academy Stallions. Winning may never get old, but the Swordsmen sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

Glen Iris Baptist's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rebekah Everett, who posted 16 points in addition to six assists and four steals. Everett is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Leah Griffin, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 boards.

Glen Iris Baptist's win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-2. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 22.3 points per game. As for Marshall Christian Academy, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

As of now, neither Glen Iris Baptist nor Marshall Christian Academy have any future games scheduled.
