Softball Recap: Owensboro Comes Up Short

Owensboro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bowling Green Purples. That's two games in a row now that the Red Devils have lost by just one run.

Owensboro's defeat dropped their record down to 10-19. As for Bowling Green, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-14-1 record this season.

Owensboro will be playing in front of their home fans against Grayson County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bowling Green, they will venture away from home to face off against Franklin-Simpson at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
