Basketball Game Preview: Van Buren County Warriors vs. Mediapolis Bulldogs

Van Buren County hasn't had much luck against Mediapolis recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Van Buren County Warriors are taking a road trip to challenge the Mediapolis Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Both are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Van Buren County is headed into the matchup having just posted their biggest win since January 9, 2024 on Tuesday. They put the hurt on New London with a sharp 45-24 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

Meanwhile, Mediapolis was fully in charge on Tuesday, breezing past West Burlington 73-22. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 26 points or more this season.

Mediapolis' win bumped their record up to 12-1. As for Van Buren County, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Van Buren County was taken down by Mediapolis 67-29 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Can Van Buren County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
