Basketball Recap: Glynn Academy Takes a Loss

Glynn Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They were dealt an 83-28 loss at the hands of the Brunswick Pirates. The Terrors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-12.

Despite the defeat, Glynn Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Trevion Bryant posted nine points.

Leading Brunswick to victory were Caleb Butler and Heze Kent. Butler went 9 for 12 en route to 20 points and eight rebounds, while Kent dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten boards. Kent is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last ten games he's played. Another player making a difference was Nasir Poole, who had 13 points.

Glynn Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-22. As for Brunswick, their win bumped their record up to 17-2.

Glynn Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 67-56 defeat against Richmond Hill on the 1st. As for Brunswick, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 73-46 victory against South Effingham on the 1st.
