Sullivan extended their winning streak to five on Thursday, bumping their season record up to 7-12 in the process. Everything went their way against the Unity Christian Lions as they made off with a 17-2 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Redskins, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Cameron Crowe was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Sullivan is 2-1 when Crowe posts two or more runs, but 5-11 otherwise.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brady Stollard, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Zaden Hussong was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three RBI and one run.

Sullivan always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .594. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Unity Christian only posted an OBP of .267.

As for Unity Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. They just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.

On Unity Christian's side, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Everett Roughton, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Looking ahead, Sullivan will challenge Arcola at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Purple Riders will roll in looking for their 17th straight win, something the Redskins surely won't give up without a fight. As for Unity Christian, they will face off against MacArthur at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Lions are facing the Generals at the right time seeing as the Generals are stuck on an 11-game losing streak.
