Softball Game Preview: Mount St. Mary Academy Thunder vs. Sacred Heart Academy Sharks

Mount St. Mary Academy hasn't had much luck against Sacred Heart Academy recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Thunder are taking a road trip to challenge the Sharks at 10:00 a.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Mount St. Mary Academy lost 22-4 to St. Mary's on Friday.

Elizabeth Frisbie was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Jocelyn Wolf, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Meanwhile, Sacred Heart Academy came up short against Lancaster on Wednesday, falling 13-2. The Sharks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sloan Rhoney made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one run and one double.

Mount St. Mary Academy now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Sacred Heart Academy, they now also have a losing record of 1-2.

Mount St. Mary Academy couldn't quite finish off Sacred Heart Academy when the teams last played back in May of 2024 and fell 6-4. Can the Thunder avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
