Tolleson has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.79  runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit  on Thursday. They put the hurt on the West Point Dragons with a sharp  19-12 win. The Wolverines might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 19 games by six  runs or more this season.
Tolleson got a great performance from  Mayrin Acuna as she  didn't allow a single  earned run over 6.1 innings pitched.
 At the plate,  Emily Araiza was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with three  runs, three  RBI,  and one  stolen base. Those  four  hits gave  her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Adamariz Padilla, who  went 2-for-4 with four  runs, one  triple,  and one  stolen base.
 Tolleson  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters  in nine consecutive  contests.
Tolleson is  on a roll lately: they've  won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-5 record  this season. Those  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for West Point,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 12-11.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tolleson will square off against Mesa at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday. The Jackrabbits have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.53  runs per game on average), something the Wolverines will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for West Point, they will face off against Desert Ridge at 3:45  p.m.  on Monday.
