Baseball Game Preview: Harvest Christian Academy Lions vs. Alden-Hebron Green Giants

Harvest Christian Academy has gone 9-1 against Alden-Hebron recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Lions will look to defend their home field against the Green Giants at 4:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Harvest Christian Academy has five straight victories, Alden-Hebron has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Monday, Harvest Christian Academy made easy work of Yorkville Christian and carried off a 7-1 win.

The team relied heavily on Kyle Ziebell, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Harvest Christian Academy is undefeated when Ziebell posts two or more runs, but 3-6 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Cael Blaudow, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Alden-Hebron fell victim to Hiawatha and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They came up short against the Hawks, falling 15-0.

Harvest Christian Academy's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-6. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Alden-Hebron, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.

Harvest Christian Academy took their victory against Alden-Hebron in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0 score. Do the Lions have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Green Giants turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
