Volleyball Recap: Rachel Buchanan and Sophia Arana Secure Win for Westminster Christian

Westminster Christian won the last time they faced Visitation Academy and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Vivettes. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

One reason for the win was Westminster Christian's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-19, 25-18.

Leading Westminster Christian to victory were Sophia Arana and Rachel Buchanan. Arana had 15 assists and six digs, while Buchanan had six digs and two aces. Arana has been hot, having posted 13 or more assists the last five times she's played.

Westminster Christian's win bumped their record up to 24-6-1. As for Visitation Academy, they dropped their record down to 4-9-1 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Westminster Christian has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Parkway West on the 16th. Visitation Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
