Recap: Herington Railroaders vs. Goessel Bluebirds
The Herington Railroaders lost against the Goessel Bluebirds back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Herington was the victim of a tough 46-21 defeat at the hands of Goessel. Herington has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the defeat, Herington saw an underclassman step up: Isabelle Ecklund scored seven points along with five rebounds.
Herington has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. As for Goessel, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.
Herington will head out on the road to take on Solomon at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Solomon is on a nine-game streak of home losses, Herington a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. Goessel will take on Classical at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Goessel has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
