The Mustangs enjoyed a cozy 28-14 victory over the Cypress Woods Wildcats with plenty of help from Ruth, who rushed for 166 yards and one score while picking up 10.4 yards per carry. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 75-yard run.
One reason for the win was Cypress Ranch's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. Ayden Combs refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5 sacks all by himself. Another thorn in Cypress Woods' side was Combs, who picked up 1.5 sacks and made 12 total tackles.
