The home team had won the previous four meetings between Cathedral Catholic and Point Loma, and Cathedral Catholic kept the tradition alive. The Dons never let the Pointers get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory on Monday. That's more bragging rights for the Dons, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The team relied heavily on Hunter Harrington, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April.

Cathedral Catholic's record is now 15-10. As for Point Loma, they moved to 15-9-1 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Cathedral Catholic will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Pointers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
