Volleyball Recap: Red Springs Takes a Loss

Red Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Fairmont Golden Tornadoes. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Tornadoes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.

The final score came out to 25-7, 25-18, 25-18.

Layla Hunt had an outrageously good game for Fairmont as she had 11 aces and three digs. Hunt is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served three or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Red Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Fairmont, their victory ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 6-15.

As of now, neither Red Springs nor the Golden Tornadoes have any future games scheduled.
