Recap: Brighton Charter Tigers vs. Estrella Sidewinders
On Friday, Brighton Charter was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 38-37 to Estrella.
When it comes to explaining why Brighton Charter lost, one person who can't be blamed is Dylan Mastrapasqua. Despite the final result, he scored seven points along with nine rebounds and four steals. That's the first time this season that Mastrapasqua grabbed two or more steals. Another player making a difference was Tyler Potter, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Brighton Charter bumped their record down to 2-6 with that loss, which was their sixth straight at home. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 28.8 points per game. As for Estrella, their victory bumped their record up to 3-12.
Brighton Charter will look to defend their home court on Monday against Sonoran Science Academy at 5:00 p.m. Sonoran Science Academy is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak. Estrella's road trip will continue as they head out to face American Heritage Academy at 5:00 p.m. on January 25th.
