Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Chicago). They claimed a resounding 72-41 victory over the Aurora East Tomcats. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 219th, while the Tomcats are ranked 600th), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win was the fourth in a row for West Chicago, bringing their record for this year to 21-7. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 25.8 points. As for Aurora East, they dropped their record down to 3-22 with the defeat, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the West Chicago Wildcats duke it out with the Oswego Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Aurora East, they are taking a road trip to take on Wheeling at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Aurora East is facing Wheeling at the right time seeing as Wheeling is stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
