Basketball Recap: Oakwood Academy Comes Up Short

When it comes to explaining why Oakwood Academy lost, don't look at Austin Germono. Despite the final result, he went 7 of 12 en route to 23 points and four steals. Germono has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last seven times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylon Pognon, who posted 11 points in addition to seven rebounds and three blocks.

Oakwood Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 16-6. As for Madison Academy, they pushed their record up to 15-6 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home.
