Basketball Recap: Bonner Springs Triumphs

Bonner Springs proved they can win big last Saturday (they won by 27) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 50-48 victory over the Paola Panthers. The 50-point effort marked the Braves' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Bonner Springs' win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Paola, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7-1 record this season.

Bonner Springs will challenge Louisburg at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Paola, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Spring Hill at 7:30 p.m. on February 7th.
