Football Preview: West Warwick Wizards vs. South Kingstown Rebels
West Warwick has been on the road for two straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will host the South Kingstown Rebels at 6:00 p.m. After both made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Friday.
West Warwick is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Rhode Island's top teams: Tolman, who was ranked 23rd in their home state at the time (West Warwick was ranked ninth). West Warwick claimed a resounding 48-0 win over Tolman on the road. The Wizards pushed the score to 41-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Tigers had no chance of recovering from.
James Branch was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 214 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.3 yards per carry. Meanwhile, South Kingstown put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Woonsocket 37-12.
Dante Peno had a dynamite game for South Kingstown, rushing for 110 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries. That's the most rushing yards Peno has posted since back in September of 2023.

Friday's contest might be decided in the on the ground. West Warwick has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 241 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like South Kingstown struggles in that department as they've been averaging 232.3. It's looking like Friday's game might have some serious battles in the trenches.
