Softball Recap: Hebron Gets the Win

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Hebron walked away with it. They had just enough and edged out the Wheeler Bearcats 2-1 on Thursday. The Hawks haven't had any issues with the Bearcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Addison Toczek was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. Toczek was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Macey Siminski, who went 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.

Hebron's record is now 9-12. As for Wheeler, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 17-8.

Looking ahead, Hebron will face off against Andrean at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Wheeler does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
