Baseball Game Preview: Bowsher BlueRacers vs. John Hay

The Bowsher BlueRacers will venture away from home to take on John Hay at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Bowsher's pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so John Hay's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Bowsher is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Start just ended the team's eight-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 2-0. Considering the last time the BlueRacers couldn't score was back in April, the team can't take the result too hard.

Rhodes hit John Hay with a five-run fourth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. John Hay came up short against Rhodes, falling 14-4. Like Bowsher, John Hay also had to let a streak go: they had won three straight, but that streak is no more.

Erek Williams was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. John Hay is 3-1 when Williams posts two or more runs, but 5-9 otherwise. Zack Custodio was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI.

Bowsher's defeat dropped their record down to 15-5. As for John Hay, their loss dropped their record down to 8-10.
