Basketball Recap: Gulf Coast Comes Up Short

After flying high against Mariner last Wednesday, Gulf Coast came back down to earth. The Gulf Coast Sharks took a hard 64-46 fall against the Gateway Eagles on Saturday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Sharks of the 72-62 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.

Gulf Coast has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-11 record this season. As for Gateway, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-7.

Gulf Coast has already played their next game (against Neumann), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Gateway will face off against Aubrey Rogers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
