Basketball Recap: Deposit-Hancock Skates Past Afton with Ease

A well-balanced attack led Deposit-Hancock over Afton in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Deposit-Hancock blew the Afton Knights out of the water with an 82-44 final score. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 40-16.

Deposit-Hancock's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Micah Simmons, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 17 rebounds. Simmons has been hot for a while, having posted 12 or more boards the last ten times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Fortunato, who posted 21 points along with seven assists and six rebounds.
