Basketball Game Preview: Boerne-Champion Chargers vs. New Braunfels Unicorns

The Boerne-Champion Chargers will venture away from home to challenge the New Braunfels Unicorns at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Boerne-Champion has struggled recently with four losses in a row, while New Braunfels will arrive with three straight wins.

Last Friday, Boerne-Champion came up short against Pieper and fell 61-49.

Meanwhile, New Braunfels didn't have too much trouble with Smithson Valley on Friday as they won 75-56.

New Braunfels has also been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 20-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.3 points per game. As for Boerne-Champion, their defeat dropped their record down to 21-9.

Boerne-Champion came up short against New Braunfels in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 52-43. Can Boerne-Champion avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
