Volleyball Recap: Christian Academy's Loss Ends Seven-Game Winning Streak at Home

If Christian Academy was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Clarksville on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Warriors lost 3-0 to the Eastern Musketeers on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Musketeers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 back in September.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Eastern scored at least 19 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-19, 25-20.

Maycee Hoefler paced Christian Academy's offense, picking up eight kills. Hoefler got some help from Emma Doss and her 12 assists. Doss also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Morgan Kreutzer, each putting up two.

Christian Academy's loss ended a seven-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 21-9. As for Eastern, they pushed their record up to 25-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Charlestown on the 9th. As for Eastern, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against West Washington on the 9th.
