The Foresthill Wildfires are taking a road trip to take on the Vacaville Christian Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Foresthill is coming into the match hot, having won their last seven games.
Foresthill is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 23-4 margin over Stockton Christian.

Eli Selvester made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has become a key player for Foresthill: the team is undefeated when he allows at most one hit, but 6-7 otherwise. Selvester was even better at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, four runs, and three RBI. Those four hits gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Hunter Byrum, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 2.1 runs per game. David Silveira was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
Foresthill always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .610. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .531 or higher in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Vacaville Christian suffered their biggest defeat since March 7th on Friday. They lost 9-3 to Vanden. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Zachary Romeo was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs.
Foresthill's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-7. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.8 runs over those games. As for Vacaville Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 14-6.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Foresthill has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 6.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Vacaville Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 2.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
