Basketball Recap: Eagle River Takes a Loss

Eagle River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 69-30 loss at the hands of the South Anchorage Wolverines. While losing is never fun, the Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alaska basketball rankings (they are ranked 85th, while the Wolverines are ranked 35th).

Eagle River's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for South Anchorage, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-7 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eagle River will take on Bettye Davis East Anchorage at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for South Anchorage, they will challenge Dimond at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
