Softball Recap: Freeman Triumphs

Freeman's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They never let the Hermitage Panthers get on the board and left with an 11-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Mavericks in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won six in a row.

The team relied heavily on Ryleigh Perks, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three stolen bases, and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Sarah Chilton, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Freeman lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post two or more home runs.

Freeman's win bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Hermitage, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.
