Meanwhile, Atchison County had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.3 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They came out on top against the Chargers by a score of 51-42.

Atchison County's win came from a few key players Jefferson West will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Kinzee Bauerle, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 16 rebounds. The match was her 20th in a row with at least 17 points. Kori Wagner was another key player, to rack up 20 points along with eight boards and four steals.

The victory got Atchison County back to even at 10-10. As for Jefferson West, their loss dropped their record down to 7-12.

Everything came up roses for Jefferson West against Atchison County in their previous matchup back in February of 2018, as the squad secured a 48-21 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Jefferson West since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
