Basketball Recap: Flint Hill Comes Up Short

After flying high against Falls Church last Monday, Flint Hill came back down to earth. The Flint Hill Huskies had to suffer through a 79-35 loss at the hands of the Virginia Academy Patriots . For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Huskies have suffered since December 3, 2024.

Flint Hill has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-4 record this season. As for Virginia Academy, they pushed their record up to 8-5 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.

Flint Hill and Virginia Academy should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings. Flint Hill (ranked 32nd) will meet Connelly School of the Holy Child (ranked 161st) at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Virginia Academy will challenge Steward at 5:00 p.m. on Monday up 33 places (7 vs. 40).
