Basketball Recap: Athens Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Athens can now relate to. They lost 74-50 to the Marietta Tigers on Tuesday. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Athens' defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Marietta, they pushed their record up to 17-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Athens does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Marietta, they will venture away from home to challenge Warren at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Warren will roll in looking for their 16th straight victory, something Marietta surely won't give up without a fight.
