Softball Recap: Independence Eagles vs. Phil Campbell Bobcats

Independence posted their closest win since March 27th on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Phil Campbell Bobcats 6-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Bella Hernandez looked comfortable as she tossed four innings while giving up four earned runs off five hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Piper Johnson was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Reagan Maxon was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and two runs.
