Basketball Recap: Douglas Takes a Loss

Douglas was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 63-52 to the Rapid City Central Cobblers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Patriots of the 53-45 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Douglas' loss dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Rapid City Central, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Douglas will face off against Sturgis Brown at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rapid City Central, they will take on Lincoln at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lincoln knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matches -- so hopefully Rapid City Central likes a good challenge.
