Basketball Recap: Lakewood Comes Up Short

Lakewood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 41-29 to the Heath Bulldogs. The Lancers were not able to make up for their loss to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in February.

It was another big night for Jaxon Duston, who went 6 for 9 on his way to 16 points and three steals for Heath. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Kaminsky, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 11 points.

Lakewood's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Heath, their win was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lakewood will host Watkins Memorial at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Heath, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Licking Heights at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Heath is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.2 points per game this season.
