Basketball Game Preview: Kennewick Lions vs. North Central Wolfpack

The Kennewick Lions will face off against the North Central Wolfpack at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Kennewick knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 13 contests -- so hopefully North Central likes a good challenge.

Last Saturday, Kennewick was able to grind out a solid win over Kamiakin, taking the game 67-56.

Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but North Central had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Falcons by a score of 69-58. Winning may never get old, but the Wolfpack sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

North Central's win came from a few key players Kennewick will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Makai Daniels, who posted 20 points. The game was his 13th in a row with at least 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Wright, who earned 15 points.

Kennewick has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for North Central, their victory bumped their record up to 16-6.

Everything came up roses for Kennewick against North Central when the teams last played back in December of 2021, as the squad secured an 87-56 win. In that contest, Kennewick amassed a halftime lead of 48-28, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Saturday.
