Highland View Academy extends road losing streak to four

Recap: Highland View Academy vs. Mountain View Christian Academy Conquerors

Highland View Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their seventh straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 42-19 walloping at the hands of Mountain View Christian Academy. If Highland View Academy hoped to take revenge for the 37-17 loss against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.

Mountain View Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman Zoe Harbin, who scored 14 points along with eight steals and seven rebounds. Harbin continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Eryn Demko, who scored 13 points along with five steals.

Highland View Academy bumped their record down to 0-3 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 19.5 points per game. As for Mountain View Christian Academy, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Highland View Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Shenandoah Valley Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on January 30th. As for Mountain View Christian Academy, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Randolph-Macon Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Randolph-Macon Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
