Softball Recap: Armstrong's Victory on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Armstrong lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Karns City, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's matchup. Armstrong blew past Karns City 15-1 on Monday. 15 seems to be a good number for the River Hawks as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

The win was the third in a row for Armstrong, bringing their record up to 3-1. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Karns City, they dropped their record down to 1-3 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Armstrong will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Gateway at 5:00 p.m. on April 9. As for Karns City, they will square off against Sharon at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
