Preview: East Hartford Hornets vs. Bloomfield Warhawks
East Hartford is 5-0 against Bloomfield since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The East Hartford Hornets will head out on the road to face off against the Bloomfield Warhawks at 1:00 p.m. Hopefully East Hartford focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Thursday.
Last Thursday, East Hartford earned a 58-46 win over Enfield.
East Hartford's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nia Edens, who scored 15 points along with four steals. Chanel Ward was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five steals.
Meanwhile, Bloomfield is still winless after their matchup against Hartford Public on Tuesday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. Bloomfield fell just short of Hartford Public by a score of 49-46.
The win got East Hartford back to even at 5-5. As for Bloomfield, they bumped their record down to 0-6 with that loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.
East Hartford came out on top in a nail-biter against Bloomfield when the teams last played back in January of 2019, sneaking past 55-53. Will East Hartford repeat their success, or does Bloomfield have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
