Soccer Game Preview: North Augusta vs. Gilbert

North Augusta is preparing for their first region matchup of the season on Monday. They will head out on the road to square off against the Gilbert Indians at 7:00 p.m. North Augusta's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

North Augusta saw some tournament action on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Cardinal Newman, sneaking past 2-1.

Meanwhile, last SaturdayChester kept up with Gilbert until halftime, but afterwards: not so much. Gilbert was the clear victors by a 6-0 margin over Chester.

Gilbert now has a winning record of 1-0. As for North Augusta, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

North Augusta took their win against Gilbert in their previous meeting back in March of 2017 by a conclusive 6-2. In that contest, North Augusta amassed a halftime lead of 5-2, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Monday.
