Softball Recap: First Academy Comes Up Short

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Friday. First Academy lost 21-1 to Trinity Christian Academy. The result was an unpleasant reminder to First Academy of the 11-8 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.

First Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madi Myers, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

This is the second loss in a row for First Academy and nudges their season record down to 11-7. As for Trinity Christian Academy, with the victory, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-8.

Coming up, First Academy will host Leesburg at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Trinity Christian Academy, they will square off against Orangewood Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rams have averaged an impressive 9.6 runs per game this season.
