Volleyball Recap: Lanett Takes a Loss

Lanett was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Callaway Cavaliers.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Lanett sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 17-25, 15-11.

Lanett's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Callaway, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-7.

Lanett wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Troup County on the 13th. As for Callaway, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Oak Mountain Academy on the 13th.
