Baseball Recap: Hurricane Finds Playoff Glory Versus Hedgesville

With a playoff win on the line, Hurricane rose to the challenge on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Hedgesville Eagles 5-3. The Redskins have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Hurricane is on a roll lately: they've won 18 of their last 22 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Hedgesville, their loss dropped their record down to 21-11.

As of now, neither Hurricane nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
