Basketball Recap: Riverside Christian Comes Up Short

On Friday, the Riverside Christian Wranglers were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 40-39 to the Classical Prep Lions. The Wranglers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Classical Prep's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Haley Zimmerman, who went 6 of 13 en route to 15 points along with six rebounds and five steals. Zimmerman continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kaelyn Malloy, who posted 14 points in addition to seven boards and seven steals.

Riverside Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Classical Prep, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season.

Riverside Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 53-32 loss against Sports Leadership & Management on the 18th. Classical Prep has also already played their next match, a 38-32 defeat against Canterbury on the 18th.
