Softball Recap: Dunmore Find Success

Dunmore won the last time they faced Riverside and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Bucks came out on top against the Vikings by a score of 7-2.

Paige Ancherani made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. Ancherani was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, Emily McGowan was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. Jaclyn Brown was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

Dunmore's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Riverside, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Dunmore will square off against rival Lakeland at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Riverside is set to take on their familiar foe Honesdale at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
